My career as a writer spans more than 25 years and includes experience as a journalist, speechwriter, copywriter, ghost writer and author. Today, in addition to my own writing, I do projects for corporate and agency clients and help other writers with their books.

  • An award-winning copywriter, I do special projects for corporate and agency clients—including websites, video scripts and annual reports.

  •  I'm also a ghost writer. I've developed successful book proposals and worked with authors under contract to major publishers. My ghostwriting credits include an international bestseller.

  • The author of two books on the politics of parenting—including Are Our Kids All Right?, a Parents’ Choice selection—I've appeared in major media to talk about my books, including NBC's Today Show.

  • I began my career as a journalist and magazine editor. I've contributed  feature stories to the Washington Post and done reporting for Time and Fortune.

  • A graduate of Barnard College with a degree in history, I began writing fiction in the 2000s and studied with Richard Bausch in his Moss Workshop in Fiction in 2009.

  • My debut novel, The History Teacher, is coming out in August 2019. For more information, please visit
